Transition to College
Our many Workforce Solutions course offerings are a great way to begin earning your college degree one step at a time, while maintaining the flexibility you need at work and in life. Several classes offered through Workforce Solutions give participants the opportunity to earn college credit that will count toward a college degree, diploma, or certificate. One step at a time, little by little, Workforce Solutions will help you complete your college education.
We all know the importance that a college education holds in today's market. That is why we have created several ways to support you during your pursuit for higher education:
First, feel free to contact Brittany Corde, Workforce Transitions Coordinator at 606-759-7141 ext. 66116. Brittany can help determine how your Workforce Solutions credit or other college-level credit fits into one of our many degree programs as well as assist in streamlining the financial aid and admissions processes to best meet your needs.
Second, check out our Credit for Prior Learning process. This process can allow you to earn up to 20 college credit hours (almost 1/3 of an Associates Degree) for the skills you have learned on-the-job or through other experiences. This is a great way to save time and money when pursuing your college education. Note: Credit for Prior Learning is not a guarantee that credit will be awarded.
Third, if you are a company representative, call 606-759-7141 ext. 66120 to have Workforce Transitions meet at your location for a free consultation that will gear your employees toward meeting the specialized educational and training needs of your company.
