Maysville Institute of Culinary Arts student Jamie Booher talks with CrystalHefffrom
the Augusta Independent School about her FCCLA Star Event Project. Crystal participated
in the FCCLA Culinary Arts STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) which
focuses on how to work as a team to produce a quality meal using industrial culinary
arts/ food service techniques and equipment. Students were todevelop a plan for the
timegiven, prepare menu items given to them at the time of the event, and present
their prepared items to judges. Maysville Institute of Culinary Arts student Willetta
Barger also served as a judge.
