- You can download the program from the button above.
- Once you have downloaded the installer, double-click it to start.
- The program installs fairly quickly and doesn't give any options.
- Once it has finished installing, you may need to sign-in with your KCTCS account.
- On the left, you can see two main features.
- "Chat" is very similar to Skype's chat. You can send text messages and start video calls.
- "Calendar" will pull your Outlook meetings and will also have any Teams meetings you are in.
If you need any assistance with this, please submit a work order to the HelpDesk Portal.
Here is a brief tutorial on how to create a Microsoft Teams meeting in Outlook and webmail.
- Open Outlook and click “New Items” at the top left. Then click “Teams Meeting”.
- A window will pop-up and you will have to enter all the normal meeting information and click "Send" when finished.
- Once people have accepted your meeting, it will show up in their Outlook calendar (and yours).
- The meeting can be joined by double-clicking the meeting in your calendar and then clicking the "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" link.
The process to create a Teams meeting through webmail is just as simple.
- While in your webmail, find the calendar icon in the bottom left and click it.
- Next, click the “New Event” button located on upper left of the calendar page.
- This will bring up the New Event page. Enter your invitees, date, and time.
- Midway down the invitation page, click the “Add Online Meeting” icon. This brings up a dropdown list. Click “Teams Meeting”. Then send your invitation.
If you need any assistance with this, please submit a work order to the HelpDesk Portal.
- Move your mouse to the bottom right of the desktop, and click on the wireless symbol. This will bring up all available wireless connections in your area.
- Find KCTCS-STUDENT-GUEST and click on the connect button.
NOTE: Please remember that this is not a secure network so please refrain from accessing personal information such as shopping and banking.
