Electronic Device Borrowing Policy

MCTC faculty, staff and currently enrolled students are eligible to check-out the electronic devices.

Loan period for eligible patrons: two weeks, no renewals.

Students must sign the Acceptable Use Borrowing Policy for Electronic Devices and Laptops stating students are responsible for replacement costs and fines for non-returned or damaged items.

Limit of one electronic item per person. Must be picked up at and returned to the Circulation Desk.

Patron is responsible until item is checked in by library staff.

Overdue Fine rate is set at $1 per day; maximum overdue fine is $10 per item.

Any device not returned within one week will be declared lost and the patron will be billed for replacement cost, plus accrued fines and processing fee.

Replacement charge for lost or damage items are based on the cost: Electronic device + bag.$10 processing fee.

Each device will be checked out in a bag containing
a. Device
b. Protective case, if applicable
c. Power cord, if applicable
d.Power adapter, if applicable. -
At the time of check-in, the library staff will assess item for possible damages before discharging item.

Patrons may not purchase e-books with library devices. If a title is requested, contact library staff for acquisitions of title.
