
Explore Your Future at Career Craze 2026
Career Craze is a hands-on summer career exploration camp for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in the 2026–2027 school year. Hosted by MCTC, this engaging, multi-day program gives students the opportunity to explore in-demand careers, visit local worksites, and learn directly from industry professionals—all at no cost to attend.
Camp Details
Dates: June 2–4, 2026 (Tuesday–Thursday)
Time:
- 8:30–9 a.m. – Registration
- 9 a.m.–2 p.m. – Classes
Location: Maysville Community & Technical College and community partner sites
Cost: Free to attend
- Lunch option: $25 for the week (paid in advance) or students may bring their own lunch.
Registration Deadline: Thursday, May 21, 2026
Everything else—including instruction, supplies, transportation for tours, and activities—is provided.
Career Tracks Offered
Students will select three first-choice career tracks and three alternative choices during registration.
Technical Careers
Hosted by PPI, Stober Drives, Inc. & Mitsubishi
Do you ever wonder how things are made? This session will give you insight into the exciting careers available in manufacturing! You’ll begin the day by touring the Mitsubishi plant, next you will travel to Stober Drives. At Stober Drives, you will tour the plant and get a firsthand look at the manufacturing of a part while learning about the many careers, not only in production, but throughout the plant. You will be amazed at the many interesting aspects of work in manufacturing. Daily Tours!

Students will learn computer programming techniques to create their own interactive stories, animations, games, music and art by snapping software blocks together using a kid friendly product called Scratch. Scratch is a computer programming language specifically designed by MIT to serve as a good first programming language. It teaches basic computer skills, mathematics, and computation, creativity, systematic reasoning and team collaboration. Computer programming is used in software development for increased efficiency in many industries including business, healthcare, entertainment, auto, and energy systems.

We will cover safety in the kitchen, nutritional facts, cooking techniques, and dietary information to assist the students in making good choices for a healthy lifestyle.
