Student Spotlight: Haley Payne

It all started my junior year of high school, that one question that you can’t seem to escape. “What college will you be attending?” Of course, my response was the college I always dreamt about attending as a preteen, the largest university in Kentucky.

This dream sure was… dreamy. I tried to hold onto it for a little bit until I realized that maybe this dream was only ideal for the 10-year-old me. During my senior year of high school, I was enrolled in courses at MCTC. I ended up completing my freshman year of college as a senior in high school. It was a beautiful thing, something that I am proud of and fully recommend. I loved all my classes, I loved my teachers, and I loved the campus. It all started my junior year of high school, that one question that you can’t seem to escape. “What college will you be attending?” Of course, my response was the college I always dreamt about attending as a preteen, the largest university in Kentucky.
