MAYSVILLE COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE BENEFACTORS RECOGNIZED AT KCTCS PRESIDENTS GALA AND BENEFACTORS AWARDS DINNER

Versailles, Ky. (November 21, 2011) Thirty-five of the states leading individuals, businesses, and foundations were recently recognized for their generous philanthropic and voluntary support to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) during the 12th annual Presidents Gala and Benefactors Awards Dinner.

The event was held Saturday, November 19 at 7 p.m. in the Bluegrass Ballroom of The Lexington Center, downtown Lexington.

Dr. Ed Story says, Maysville Community and Technical College honored the 3M Company from Cynthiana and the DeKalb Lodge in Maysville at the Gala. Each of these benefactors has contributed much toward the success of MCTC. Without the assistance provided by the many benefactors of our College, many programs and services would not be available to our students. Several MCTC faculty, staff and community leaders were present at the Gala as Mrs. Ann Getting and Mr. Ken Pickrell accepted awards for their respective organizations.

More than 600 state and local dignitaries from across the Commonwealth also attended the event. President Michael B. McCall presented the Presidents Medallion for Distinguished Service to U.S. Congressman Hal Rogers. The only other recipient of this award is former Kentucky Governor Paul E. Patton. He was presented the medallion in 2008.
