From a young age I've had an interest in electronics, starting with the most basic AV equipment and going from there. When I first started MCTC, I didn't realize the spectrum of "Information Technology". MCTC gave me the skill set that was required to progress into the IT field, the work study program also let me add real-life application to what I was learning in my classes. With the help of my instructors, I became very determined to achieve success. MCTC gave me more than just skills related to my field though, it helped me connect to a network of students like myself and it allowed me to develop good conversational skills after being anti-social most of my life.

Some people have never planted seeds, and others passionately harvest and save them. We may collect seeds to share or, to carry on the plant's legacy from year to year. But in January 2009, that changed. Corporate leaders informed Cintas’ workers that the plant would be moving production to Mexico. A lot of worries and fears entered Jennifer’s mind. As a mother of 3, how would she and her husband, both who would now be unemployed, support their family?

The current Rowan Campus will close on December 11 as staff and faculty prepare to move to the new campus. The new facility will be open for students at the beginning of the 2018 Spring semester on January 2. All campus telephone and IT service will be shut down on December 12. Students should plan on meeting with student services, professors and advisors to finalize any necessary business prior to that date.

Art Show contestants The lobby of the Calvert Center of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) has come alive blawith 51 pieces of artwork from 20 high school students spread throughout the region. The artwork, part of the 18th annual High School Art Competition, will be on display in the Fields lobby of the Calvert Center for public viewing through December 7th.

Ribbon cutting ceremony at our Licking Valley Campus Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) has partnered with several regional counseling agencies to provide a new counseling service to students at all of its campus locations. Comprehend, Inc., Pathways as well as will provide on-campus office hours to provide students with support to make the most of their education experience at MCTC. The program will begin accepting appointments immediately.
