Maysville Community and Technical College is thrilled to announce that Giving Day 2026 was a tremendous success, with the institution leading in three of four challenges at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System level.
With a goal of 75 contributions and 10 new donors, MCTC raised $49,147 with 254 gifts in 24 hours. The institution finished first out of 16 KCTCS colleges for the highest number of gifts contributed.
Of those gifts, 195 were given to the Student Emergency Fund. This was the highest reported number across the system.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown during our third Giving Day. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community, this year’s event was not only successful—it exceeded expectations in ways that will have a lasting impact,” said Cara Clarke, Executive Director of the MCTC Foundation.
Additionally, MCTC received the highest number of alumni and student gifts.
“I am thrilled to see our alumni showing out for their alma mater on Giving Day. We already knew we had an amazing and loyal family in the MCTC Alumni Association, but these results just confirmed it even more. Thank you to those who made a gift last week. Our current and future alumni will benefit greatly from the funds raised,” said Rachel Adkins, head of the MCTC Alumni Association.
For each of the challenges won, MCTC will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the KCTCS Foundation for students.
Funds received on Giving Day will be used for MCTC’s food pantry, student emergency funds, student completion funds, the Maysville scholarship fund, and the MCTC Alumni Association.
With contributions from current faculty and staff, retirees, alumni, friends, board members, and students, MCTC is incredibly grateful to those who gave.
