Ranking third in the state, Maysville Community and Technical College’s Licensed Practical
Nurse (LPN) to Registered Nurse (RN) Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program has been
recognized for its remarkable performance by practicalnursing.org.
“This recognition is a powerful testament to the strength of our curriculum and our unwavering commitment to preparing students for success in today’s dynamic healthcare environment,” said Ginger Clarke-Gallagher, associate vice president of nursing at MCTC.
MCTC’s LPN to RN ADN program utilizes a hybrid format, focusing on aligning the course schedule with the needs of non-traditional and working students.
In a hybrid setting, the program combines online learning with on-campus clinical labs. Students gain hands-on experience, exposing them to ideal opportunities for advancement from the LPN to the RN position.
“Our nursing instructors have built a legacy of excellence that continues to inspire and elevate our program year after year. Their commitment to advancing nursing education—from implementing evidence-based standards to integrating emerging technologies throughout our curriculum—ensures that our graduates are fully prepared to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare field,” remarked Clarke-Gallagher.
According to Clarke-Gallagher, every graduating cohort of the LPN to RN program at the Maysville Campus has achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
“This recognition celebrates not only our shared pursuit of excellence, but also the bright future our graduates represent,” she continued. “We are incredibly proud of their hard work, resilience, and passion for patient care, all of which have helped shape the LPN RN program into one of the top-ranked in the state.”
