2 MCTC employees finishing up 2025-26 term in ALDI

Two employees of Maysville Community and Technical College are rounding out their 2025-2026 term for the Academic Leadership Development Institute (ALDI).

ALDI, coordinated by the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), produces interactive sessions and small group seminars that are led by faculty and administrators across Kentucky and other states.

The group’s goal is to create a learning environment for early-career faculty and staff from various backgrounds, particularly those who are on track for professional advancement.

Natalee BrownNatalee Brown, MCTC’s director of recruitment, and Harley Wenz, an assistant professor in the nursing program, were selected to participate in the 2025-26 cohort. 

Brown oversees college recruitment efforts, digital marketing, and enrollment initiatives. She also serves as staff representative on the MCTC Board of Directors.

“I was honored to represent MCTC as part of the 2025–26 Academic Leadership Development Institute cohort,” remarked Brown. “The program strengthened my leadership skills and provided invaluable opportunities to learn alongside talented professionals from institutions across the state. The connections I built with colleagues and fellow ALDI participants will continue to support my work as director of recruitment.”

Brown holds a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a master’s degree in adult and higher education from Morehead State University.

Harley WenzWenz teaches in the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at the college, drawing upon her expertise in critical care, case management, and behavioral health. 

“Participating in ALDI was an incredible opportunity, and I am truly grateful for the experience,” said Wenz. “The group strengthened my leadership skills, expanded my professional network, and inspired me to continue growing as a leader in higher education. I highly encourage any faculty or staff member interested in enhancing their leadership knowledge and advancing their career to apply for the next cohort!”

Wenz holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing education from Northern Kentucky University. She is also a certified hospice and palliative nurse.
