MCTC recognizes National Transfer Week

Last week, Maysville Community and Technical College recognized National Transfer Week to identify the opportunities available to students seeking to earn a bachelor’s degree.
When looking at the options for postsecondary education, MCTC offers several advantages to earning an associate degree before transferring to a four-year university. Students can benefit from affordability, more career opportunities, a smoother transfer process, and a faster path to earning a bachelor’s degree.
MCTC maintains one of the lowest tuition rates in the state, comparable to completing two years of college for the price of one at a larger university. By enrolling at MCTC, students can save both time and money while working toward a strong path for continuing success at the university level.
“A lot of students start out earning a credential of some sort to improve their work prospects with a lot of nervousness, but we can help them realize they can succeed in an academic setting,” said Marty Muenks, the transfer coordinator at MCTC. “In many cases, if they transfer, they can improve their lives much more than they originally thought. Faculty and staff always love to help students work to improve their lives and communities.”
