Maysville Community and Technical College has closed the Administrative Office Technology (AOT) program effective July 1, 2025.
This decision reflects the ongoing changes in regional workforce trends and the shifting demands of the job market.
Moving forward, MCTC will utilize a comprehensive teach-out plan to support students in completing their degrees with minimal disruption.
Students currently enrolled in the AOT program have been contacted by program faculty to discuss personalized plans for completing their degree.
Through the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters, the college will continue to offer the required technical courses for the AOT program to ensure students can complete their degrees on time.
Students may also choose to change their majors to similar programs, such as the Medical Information Technology (MIT) program and the Business Administration (BA) program.
Those who are being advised to alternative programs will not incur any additional fees.
Faculty in the AOT program will continue to teach AOT courses that will support the MIT and Computer Information Technology (CIT) programs.
