Maysville Community and Technical College’s first inaugural Women, Wine, Jewels &
More (WWJM) event was a tremendous success, surpassing the event’s fundraising goal
by over $500.
With 95 attendees and $10,550 raised, the event left a significant impact on MCTC’s student emergency funds.
All funds raised throughout the evening will be used for need-based scholarships, emergency aid, nursing licensure exam fees and other needs of students to help them in completing their education.
With an evening full of glamour and support, WWJM made a lasting impression.
“Thank you all for bringing the energy, generosity and joy necessary to make the inaugural Women, Wine, Jewels & More such a success,” remarked Cara Clarke, executive director of the MCTC Foundation. “We exceeded our fundraising goal and will be able to address so many student needs because of you.”
There were many highlights throughout the evening, in which guests took home remarkable auction items and cherished memories. One guest even left with a breathtaking diamond, courtesy of Traxel’s Jewelry, after winning the Champagne Diamond Game.
“I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the many hostesses who ensured this event would be successful. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication in helping plan this event,” Clarke said. “I am already looking forward to next year!”
MCTC celebrates not only a successful event, but the meaningful change the fundraising will bring to students’ lives.
