The event brought together high school counselors, administrators, and MCTC employees, highlighting the strong partnership between the college and its K-12 school partners.

Educators explored strategies to boost student success in dual credit programs, focusing on clear pathway maps, stronger communication, enhanced support and increased parental engagement.

Attendees shared thoughtful, solution-focused ideas to break down barriers and strengthen collaboration.

A key recommendation was to provide clearer guidance on transfer opportunities to local four-year institutions, helping students make informed decisions about their educational paths.

Attendees also had great conversations about the role of GEAR UP and the importance of creating clear and intentional career pathways to help guide students from high school to college and into the workforce.

“When we align our efforts, we give students not just access to college courses, but the support they need to succeed. I’m excited about the work we’re doing together and look forward to what’s ahead,” Plummer said.
