MCTC: A first choice for a convenient and affordable college education

As May 1, typically known as “College Decision Day,” quickly approaches, high school seniors are eager to select their final choice of college institutions.
Maysville Community and Technical College hopes to be the first choice for students looking to earn collegiate-level credentials.
“MCTC is a college for everyone. Whether you're learning a skill, exploring a trade, or just beginning your academic journey, MCTC offers an affordable place to start,” remarked Christy Kissick, a success coach on the Rowan campus.
MCTC offers many perks to prospective students, including 30 program choices, affordable tuition, flexible scheduling, transfer pathways, and a location close to the student’s hometown.
With four campuses, MCTC offers the possibility of hybrid, online, or in-person instruction, ensuring a convenient experience for each student through flexible scheduling.
MCTC campuses are in the following counties: Mason, Rowan, Harrison, and Montgomery.
“Whether you plan to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution, you will receive a quality education at the lowest price in the state, all while feeling at home,” noted Kissick.
By earning their associate degree at MCTC, students can unlock the potential to save thousands of dollars toward their bachelor's degree through MCTC’s transfer pathways.
Research also shows that students who complete their associate degree before transferring are more likely to earn their bachelor's degree in less time.
