Maysville Community and Technical College is thrilled to announce that Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship (WRKS) funding will now be offered for eligible students enrolled in the Summer 2025 term.
To spread awareness, a text campaign has been sent to current WRKS recipients. With a quickly approaching deadline, students who are interested in applying for the funds are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
“The Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship was designed to help students quickly gain new skills for entering the workforce or advancing their careers. With the availability of summer funds, students can now complete their credentials more quickly,” remarked Sandy Power, director of Financial Aid at MCTC.
As part of the benefits for WRKS funding over a summer semester, students will experience shorter breaks between semesters. According to Power, this will help to maintain momentum toward finishing their credentials.
“This is an excellent opportunity for our students,” Power explained.
To apply for the funding, students must complete a separate summer term application.
For access, students should sign in at KHEAA.com and go to the “Apply Online for Scholarships” menu from their MyKHEAA account. After choosing the “Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship – Summer” option, students should be able to start the application process.
