Two outstanding faculty and staff members from Maysville Community and Technical College have been selected to participate in the 2025 cohort of the Academic Leadership Development Institute (ALDI), coordinated by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE).

ALDI is a year-long professional development program designed to support faculty and staff members who are on track for career advancement in higher education. Participants were nominated by their respective institutions based on their leadership potential, dedication to higher education, and interest in professional growth. Typically, ALDI participants are early in their academic careers and have limited administrative experience.

Natalee Brown, Director of Recruitment at MCTC, shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity.

“I am honored to participate in the 2025 cohort of the Academic Leadership Development Institute. I look forward to networking with my peers, expanding my leadership skills, and learning from the best in the field,” Brown remarked.

Harley Wenz, Instructor of Nursing at MCTC, also expressed gratitude for the nomination.

“It is an incredible honor to be nominated for CPE’s Academic Leadership Development Institute. I have always believed that leadership is about people - the connections we build, the support we offer, and the ways we uplift those around us - rather than titles or positions. I see this opportunity as a way to refine my ability to serve others and broaden my perspective. My hope is that this experience will allow me to inspire my colleagues and the students I serve, fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and innovation in nursing education,” Wenz said.

MCTC is proud to have Natalee Brown and Harley Wenz representing the institution in this prestigious program. Their selection reflects their dedication to higher education and leadership within the college and the broader academic community.
