Published on Mar 5, 2025
Maysville Community and Technical College is proud to recognize Charles Pribble as
February’s Student of the Month (SOM).
MCTC faculty and staff are invited to make such nominations for students who deserve recognition for extraordinary effort and accomplishments each month.
Selected students receive recognition through a signed certificate from the president and by having their photo displayed in the President’s Office lobby for the month.
Charles was chosen as SOM for his academic excellence, leadership and commitment to his education and community.
Charles is currently pursuing his HVAC diploma and maintains an impressive 4.0 GPA. As an adult learner, he has returned to school while balancing work and family responsibilities. Despite these challenges, he has demonstrated remarkable dedication to his studies and serves as an inspiration to his peers.
In addition to his academic achievements, Charles is an active scholar and participant in TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) at MCTC, a program designed to provide students with guidance and resources to succeed in higher education.
“In SSS, we believe success is not just about personal achievement but also about lifting others along the way. Charles embodies that spirit—dedicated to his own learning while also encouraging and supporting his peers,” remarked Courtney Myers, a counselor in SSS at MCTC and Charles’ nominator.
He is known for his generosity and willingness to help others, consistently assisting fellow students by directing them to the support and tools they need to excel.
Beyond the classroom, Charles is a devoted husband, an active member of his church and a leader in his community. His ability to balance academics, work, and personal commitments reflects his strong character and determination.
MCTC congratulates Charles on his accomplishments.
