
Bee School to be held at MCTC Maysville Campus

The Appalachian Beekeepers Association of Rowan County (ABA) will host Bee School, an educational event for beekeeping enthusiasts of all levels, on Maysville Community and Technical College’s main campus.
The experience will feature expert speakers with over 100 years of combined beekeeping knowledge, discussing various topics. Ranging from beginner topics, honey production, hive winter preparation, making splits and much more.
In addition to the sessions to be presented, attendees will have opportunities to connect with vendors who will be offering exclusive deals on beekeeping products, bee orders and giveaways.
The ABA of Rowan County is a non-profit organization. The organization hosts monthly meetings at the Richardson Horse Show Arena on the Morehead State University Farm off of KY-377. The group is open to applicants wishing to join and learn more about honeybees and beekeeping.
Bee School admission is $20 per family. Registration opens at 8 am the day of the event with the first session beginning at 9 am. Bee School will be hosted at 1755 US Highway 68 at MCTC on Saturday, Feb, 22.
