MCTC welcomes area high schools for fourth annual Trade Wars

With 600 area high school students in attendance and nearly 40 industry and community partners present, this year's MCTC Trade Wars might easily be tabbed as “the best one yet.”
Students from twenty high schools participated in fifteen competitions, designed and implemented by MCTC program faculty.
Winners from each competition are as follows:
Rowan County Senior High School: Medical Assisting, Health Science Technology, HVAC, and Nursing.
Morgan County ATC: Welding - Pipe #3 and Tee Joint #1
Carter County Career Tech: Welding - Mig Team #2 and Physical Therapist Assistant
Madison County: Industrial Maintenance and Computerized Manufacturing and Machining
Elliott County High School: Electrical Technology
East Carter High School: Respiratory Care
Montgomery County ATC/Menifee County ATC: Automotive Technology
Ignite South: Diesel Technology
West Carter High School: CDL
“Trade Wars is a wonderful event that showcases MCTC programs and services,” said Natalee Brown, MCTC's Director of Recruitment. “We are thrilled that over 600 high school students visited our Rowan Campus and had the opportunity to compete in competitions designed by our program faculty. A special thank you to all of our faculty, staff, schools and business and industry partners who helped make this event such a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.”
Brown also expressed gratitude to Trade Wars sponsors for making the event possible.
This year's Platinum/Title Sponsor: was St. Claire HealthCare.
