Carpenter named April MCTC Student of the Month

Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) has named Alexandra Carpenter Student of the Month for April 2024.

Alex is currently working on her Associate of Arts MCTC-Montgomery Campus and is also a student in the Human Services program.

Deri Pryor, an English instructor at the Montgomery campus says Alex has a fierce work and study ethic.

“As someone who is open about her recovery from active addiction, Alex’s commitment to pay forward the help she has received is evident in everything she does. She is always ready to speak up in class and help others in any way she can,” said Pryor. “As both her English instructor over two semesters and her advisor, it has been a pleasure to watch Alex bloom from a nervous first-year student to a dedicated scholar ready to make a difference in the world.”
