Barnhill named February MCTC Student of the Month
Published on Feb 13, 2024
Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) has named Alicia Barnhill Student of the Month for February 2024.
Alicia is enrolled in the Human Services program and is a Ready to Work (RTW) student. She has worked at the Montgomery Campus in Mt. Sterling for a couple of years, and RTW Director, Paula Lewis, says she goes above and beyond what she should to ensure students’ needs are met.
“Alicia helps out all staff and faculty on Montgomery Campus and any student that walks into the main door of the campus where her desk is stationed. She is fluent in financial aid, admission, Ready to Work, and any other topic that a student may need,” said Lewis. “She is dependable, trustworthy, a self-starter, and a recruiter for MCTC and the Ready to Work program. Alicia is truly what a Ready to Work student is in every definition. She upholds MCTC and Ready to Work standards to reach her full potential. I am proud to say that she was given the wind, and she flew all on her own to become such a wonderful example to us all.”
Alicia is anticipated to graduate in May.
Congratulations on your success, Alicia. You make us MCTC proud.
