    PTA Admissions Points System

    Students are assessed based on their performance in key Pre-Requisite and Additional Courses. Each course contributes to a total score out of 25 points.

    Pre-Requisite Courses:

    • BIO 137
    • MAT 150
    • ENG 101

    Additional Courses:

    • BIO 139
    • PSY 110

    Grade Points:

    • A = 5 points
    • B = 3 points
    • C = 1 points

    Attempt Penalties:

    • 2nd attempt = -1 point
    • 3rd attempt = 0 points

    Kentucky residents will recieve 1 point.
    Students who have completed 12 or more credit hours with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will receive 4 points.
    The interview will be scored out of 20 points.
    The writing sample will be scored out of 10 points.
