Upcoming Community Education Classes

Maysville Community amp; Technical College, Workforce Solutions department is busy gearing up for summer classes which will be offered to the community and professionals. Coming up in June we will offer the ACT Prep class on June 1, 2 amp; 3 from 6-8 p.m. An idea class for those who will be taking the ACT test on June 12th.June 7 10 we will be hosting the annual Career Craze Camp for middle school students. Quite an opportunity for students, they have a list of 16 career tracks to choose from. Each day they pick a different career to experience. There is no fee for this camp. June 14 16 we will be offering Drivers Education. This course meets for a total of 10 hours of lecture and then each student receives 6 hours of drive time with veteran driver training instructor, Gary Kidwell. On June 17th from 6-9 p.m. join Willetta and the Hogaritaville BBQ Competition Team to learn how to BBQ the Low and Slow Way, as they present BBQ Fever, Its Hot!! You'll be making great ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and beef, before you know it! Everyone will receive a bounty of information on making your own slathers, rubs, and sauces. And best of all, everyone will have some great BBQ to enjoy. Added Bonus: We'll be giving away a smoker to one lucky participant! On Saturday June 19th well offer Basic Electricity for those in the HVAC profession who need to satisfy their CEU hours. The class will meet from 8-4 p.m. Starting June 14th we will offer QuickBooks, one of the most widely used small business accounting software tools in the market. This class is being offered in conjunction with the Kentucky Small Business Development Center in an attempt to help those who wish to start a small business or have recently opened a new business be successful in their endeavor. Scholarships are available for this class and will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Starting July 1st Photoshop Elements with Tom Patrick will be offered. This software combines power and simplicity so you can easily tell great stories with your photos. Finally, July 12 15 the annual Kids College Camp for ages 5 13 will be held on the Maysville Campus.
