MCTC Hosting Sixth Annual Farm Family Night

Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) Workforce Solutions, in conjunction with local UK Cooperative Extension and Ohio State University, invites all families to a free evening of education and fun for all ages. Farm and Family Night will be held Tuesday, March 10, from 6:00 8:45 p.m. on the Maysville Campus of MCTC with dinner starting at 5:00 pm. Farm Credit Services of Mid-America is the title sponsor for the event.

Participants will get to choose from over 50 concurrent sessions on farm and home including: using drones for agriculture purposes, cover crops, farm management, aquaculture, alternative crops, agribusiness, beekeeping, horticulture, cooking, health and nutrition and more. Early bird sessions will be from 5:15-5:45 p.m. Youth-focused sessions such as Livestock Extravaganza, Gun Safety and Robotics in Farming will also be featured. Dinner and registration begin at 5:00 p.m. Parent and Me classes will be offered for children 2 6 years of age.

A pork tenderloin dinner will be provided from 5:00 7:00 pm. Due to limited seating participants need a ticket for dinner. Tickets may be picked up at Adams, Brown, Clermont and Highland County Extension Offices in Ohio and most program sponsors. Tickets are also available at the Maysville-Mason County Chamber Office as well as the Maysville Campus of MCTC located at 1755 US Hwy 68 in Maysville. Grand prizes at this years event include a drone and a Stihl leaf blower!
