For the sixth consecutive year, Maysville Community and Technical College has been named a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs Magazine, announced Dr. Ed Story, President, at the ribbon cutting event for the schools new Student Veteran Resource Center on the Maysville Campus.
The Military Friendly Schools designation is awarded to the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students, and to dedicate resources to ensure their success in the classroom and after graduation. We are honored to once again be recognized for our efforts to ensure our military men and women have the resources and support they need to succeed at MCTC, said Dr. Story. The Student Veteran Resource Center is just the next step in helping our student veterans and family members succeed and graduate.
Steve Crail, admission advisor and military certifying official, echoed those sentiments. Inclusion on the 2015 list of military friendly schools and the opening of the Student Veteran Resource Center demonstrates the outstanding leadership and commitment of the president, faculty and staff to provide programs and services that enhance the student experience at MCTC.
We understand that life after duty takes time to adjust. Our advisors are dedicated
to helping each veteran select the best option to achieve his or her career goal,
said Dr. Story.
