MCTC Instructor Receives Developmental Education Award
Nancy Hunter, Professor of college and developmental reading on the Maysville Campus of Maysville Community and Technical College, has received the Outstanding Developmental Educator of the Year Award from the Kentucky Association for Developmental Education (KADE). She accepted the award at the KADE Annual Conference in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Hunter has been an important part of developmental education at MCTC for 29 years. She has also been a devoted member of KADE since 1985 serving terms as president and treasurer as well as two terms as conference chair.
My heart and passion is with the developmental student, said Hunter. I have been blessed to see many become successful not only in college but in their careers.
Hunter holds a specialist in education degree from the University of Kentucky, a master of arts degree from Morehead State University, and a bachelors degree from Asbury University.
KADE is the Kentucky chapter of the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE), an organization devoted to the promotion and support of developmental education at the postsecondary level.
