Students in the Culinary Arts programat Maysville Community and Technical College recently achieved a 100% pass rate on the national ServSafe Certification exam.
Seventeen students from MCTCs Maysville Institute of Culinary Arts took the test after completing the Sanitation and Safety course under the direction of culinary instructors Becky Foster and Vicki Kratzer. The culmination of the course is the ServSafe test.
ServSafe is a nationally recognized food safety certification and required to work in the food service industry in many states. To date, more than 4 million ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certifications have been awarded.
