MCTC Competition to Award Boost to Local Business, Rent-Free

Maysville, KY (May 18, 2012) The Maysville Regional Entrepreneur Center is announcing a golden opportunity for a new or expanding business to win free rental space for one year in Maysville. The Pitch Your Plan competition is open to anyone with a feasible business plan who will agree to operate primarily in the Cox building located in downtown Maysville.

Pitch your Plan is a format chosen to introduce the Incubator program, said Michael Jackson, director of Maysville Community and Technical Colleges Maysville Regional Entrepreneur Center. This will provide an excellent opportunity for a prospective business person to develop without the restraints of overhead in a premier site in downtown Maysville.

This competition will award free rental space in the Cox building for one year. In addition, the winner will receive free business support from the entrepreneur center.

Other worthy proposals may also be eligible for reduced rental rates in various storefront locations in the area.

All proposals should be submitted to the Maysville Regional Entrepreneur Center, located at 201 East Third Street in Maysville, or emailed to mike.jackson@kctcs.edu by Friday,
June 1.

Four business plans will be chosen for the final competition to take place two weeks after the initial deadline.

Pitch Your Plan is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
