Maysville Community and Technical College will be offering a five credit hour Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) course on the Maysville, Rowan and Licking Valley campuses.

The KMA course prepares a Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide to administer medications in a long term care facility.

Individuals interested in registering for the course are required to have already successfully completed an approved Kentucky Medication Nurse Aide course. Participants must also have a current status on the Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide registry in addition to six months work experience as a Nurse Aide.

The KMA course will be held Oct. 15 Dec. 8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 5:15 p.m. at the Maysville Campus, Sept. 10 Dec. 9 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 8:30 p.m. at the Rowan Campus Downtown Extension in Morehead, and Aug. 13 Dec. 8 on Thursdays from 4:00 9:00 p.m. at the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana. Clinical dates and times for all participants will be scheduled after each course begins.

The cost to attend the course is $700. Financial aid can be applied.
