Maysville, KY (February, 16, 2011) - Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) Workforce Solutions, in conjunction with local UK Cooperative Extension and Ohio State Extension offices, invites all families to a free evening of education and fun for all ages. Farm and Family Night will be held Tuesday, March 15, from 4:30 9:00 p.m. on the Maysville Campus of MCTC. Farm Credit Services of Mid-America is the title sponsor for the event.
More than 45 concurrent sessions on farm and home topics will be offered at this event. A variety of topics will be addressed including Cattle Management, Equine, Gardening, Bioenergy, Technology for Farm Use, Living Well, and many more. Youth-focused sessions such as Livestock Judging and Fun with Foods for Kids! will also be featured. Dinner and registration begin at 4:30 p.m. Babysitting will be provided by the YMCA for children up to four years of age.
Due to limited seating participants need a ticket to attend. Tickets may be picked up at the Mason, Lewis, Robertson, and Fleming County Extension Offices in Kentucky, or the Adams and Brown County Extension Offices in Ohio. Tickets are also available at the Maysville Campus of MCTC located at 1755 US Hwy 68 in Maysville.
Farm and Family Night was held for the first time in 2010 with over 500 participants. Thanks to our many partners, excellent speakers and people who attended, last years event was a huge success, said Barbara Campbell of MCTCs Workforce Solutions. We are looking forward to another great year and encourage people to go ahead and pick up their tickets at their local extension office or our campus so they wont miss out this year.
