(Maysville, KY) One local business owner has been chosen to take up rent-free residence for one year in downtown Maysvilles Cox Building .
Debra Bray was selected as the winner from among a group finalists taking part in the Pitch Your Plan competition held by Maysville Community and Technical Colleges Maysville Regional Entrepreneur Center. Debra will be establishing Maysville Cake and Candy Supply.
Her business will carry a full supply of bakery needs, instructional materials, boards, molds, baking ingredients as well as bakeware and accessories featuring lines from Doughmakers, Wilton, Magic Line, and Fat Daddio. She will be displaying her own wedding cakes in addition to offering consultations at this location.
Bray will also receive free business support from the Maysville Regional Entrepreneur Center.
We are excited about nominating Maysville Cake and Candy Supply as our first business into the incubator program, said Center Director and Business Consultant Michael Jackson. Debra is also the owner of My Lil Bake Shoppe giving her a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in the needs of local bakers.
The other two business finalists will also be assisted in finding a location in downtown Maysville.
Funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Pitch Your Plan Competition was open to any business owner with a feasible business plan willing to locate within the Cox Building.
