Maggie Baker hired as P-16 Coordinator for Maysville Community and Technical College

image of Maggie BakerMaysville Community and Technical College is pleased to announce the employment of Maggie Baker as P-16 coordinator. Baker received her bachelors degree from Northern Kentucky University where she majored in Public Relations and minored in Journalism.

Prior to joining MCTC as the P -16 coordinator Baker served as assistant manager at Buckhead Mountain Grill in Bellevue.

In 2003, with start-up funding from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) formed the Partners for Student Success P-16 Council with a mission to develop, guide and support initiatives which encourage students to progress through the educational pipeline and become successful, productive workers.

The P-16 Council meets bi-monthly and encompasses a six-county area in northeastern Kentucky, which includes Bracken, Fleming, Harrison, Lewis, Mason and Robertson counties. P-16 Council members include representation from P-12 schools, two- and four-year postsecondary institutions, adult education, early childcare education, community members, employers, skilled trades, and civic and government groups.
