KCTCS RECOGNIZES BENEFACTORS AT PRESIDENTS GALA AND BENEFACTORS DINNER
The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) recognized the Crounse Corporation and WFTM Soft 96 for their service to Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) during the 11th annual Presidents Gala and Benefactors Awards Dinner held in the fall 2010 in the Lexington Convention Center, downtown Lexington.
Crounse Corporation donated $100,000 to MCTC to establish a scholarship endowment benefitting students who fall into a gap when it comes to funding their education. Income from the fund will provide scholarships for students who do not qualify for federal financial aid and could not afford to pay for their education without assistance.
WFTM Soft 96 was recognized for their contribution of air time to the college. In the past ten years alone, WFTM has given the college two 30 minute radio programs per month, amounting to over 7,200 minutes of interview time, to keep the community up-to-date with college goings on
Speakers for the gala included KCTCS President Michael B. McCall; Thomas O. Zawacki, chair of the KCTCS Board of Regents; and Kathy Love, chair of the KCTCS Foundation Board.
