GE Aviation and the Maysville Institute of Culinary Arts Announce Health and Nutrition Partnership
Maysville, Ky ( May 9, 2012) GE Aviation in Peebles, Ohio and the Maysville Institute of Culinary Arts of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) are partnering to further healthy lifestyles among GE employees and their families.
Part of the GEs Health Ahead Initiative, this partnership will broaden employees views on preparing food and monitoring nutritional content not only at the workplace but within their homes. GEs Health Ahead provides different methods of communications to reach as many employees and their family members as possible about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
Employees and their families will be given the opportunity to receive hands-on training for preparing and consuming healthier meals, nutritional information for the meals they are preparing to help them make healthier choices, reinforcement for healthy habits through continuing education as well as other resources, and learning experiences.
President of MCTC , Dr. Ed Story says, We are excited to partner with GE Aviation for this very ambitious employee initiative. Our MCTC Culinary Arts Institute is prepared to provide both informational and hands-on training to help GE employees and families learn how to select and prepare nutritional, pleasing food.
A partnership kickoff was held at GE Aviation in Peebles, Ohio on Monday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m.
