FIRST PLUMBING CLASS PREPARES FOR GRADUATION; INFO SESSIONS PLANNED FOR NEXT COHORTStudents in the new Plumbing program at the Montgomery Extension of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) are in the final stretch as they prepare for graduation in December. Listed as one of the fastest growing occupations in the state of Kentucky, job opportunities for these graduates appear plentiful. I am very confident that our graduates will obtain plumbing jobs, stated MCTC Business amp; Industry Liaison, Mark Lambert. I have received several calls from companies already asking for graduate referrals.
Plumbers are responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of different household and commercial mechanical systems. They often deal with water-carrying pipes, sewage systems, heating and cooling systems and work wherever such systems are in use, including homes, businesses and other structures.
On Thursday, November 6th, two information sessions have been planned to answer the many incoming questions from potential students. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the program, the classes we offer, career opportunities in the plumbing industry and meet our faculty, said Lambert. The first session will take place at 12:00 p.m. and the second session will start at 5:00 p.m. Both sessions will be held the Montgomery Extension, 201 Calk Avenue, in Mount Sterling.
