TAO Connect, a digital platform designed to make behavioral health therapy more accessible and effective, today announces its partnership with Maysville Community & Technical College. The entire college population now has 24/7 access to TAO Connect’s personalized self-guided experience.

“Having access to mental health services can sometimes be the difference in how well a student’s semester goes, especially in these trying times,” said Dr. Sherry Benton, chief science officer and founder of TAO Connect. “The pandemic has digitized many aspects of our lives and our platform not only provides students with a resource that is easily accessible and navigated.”

MCTC is part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and offers more than 30 different academic programs at four convenient campuses and online.

As part of their partnership, MCTC has access to TAO Connect's V3 platform, which contains more than 150 interactive sessions on anxiety, depression, anger, sexual violence, substance abuse and more. Also available on the platform are various mental health exercises, such as a library of mindfulness meditations, exercises and journal prompts. Notable technological advancements in V3 mean that users can access TAO Connect's AI chatbot, TAO Assistant, which guides users through the platform to find a personalized plan specific to the individual's mental health needs.

“We’re excited about this opportunity offered through CPE because TAO Connect provides students with immediate access to mental health resources,” said Teresa Conway, College Counselor/Disability Services at Maysville Community & Technical College. “It’s similar to traditional counseling since it utilizes evidence-based models like CBT, mindfulness, and positive Psychology, but differs since the client drives it."

TAO Connect is available for free to all college students, faculty and staff members. Students can register for TAO at To learn more about TAO and its technology, please visit
