MCTC Offers Incentive for New and Returning Midterm Students
In addition to a more robust class schedule, Maysville Community and Technical College is offering a financial incentive to any new or returning students that enroll in Fall midterm classes.
Any new students or previous student returning to the college for fall midterm classes may be eligible for a $1,500 grant.
“Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, our credential-seeking students have a wonderful opportunity to get extra funds to help them during this difficult time, says MCTC Director of Financial Aid Sandy Power. “This emergency grant will be up to $1500. The Department of Education has granted students permission to use these funds for a past-due balance, or to receive the funds directly. Students will have complete control over these funds,” she adds.
A limited amount of grant funding is available, so students interested in taking advantage of the program are encouraged to begin the admissions process as soon as possible.
12-week bi-term classes begin on September 13 and 8-week mid-term classes begin on October 18.
