MCTC Hosts Administrative Professionals Day
The Administrative Staff of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) were recently treated to Administrative Professionals Day.
The annual event provides a day of special training and team-building opportunities to administrative staff members from across the college.
The day’s agenda included a message from Russ Ward, MCTC Interim President, a discussion from Millicent Harding, Director of Cultural Diversity as well as a Green Dot training session.
“This group does a lot of work behind the scenes at the college,” said Russ Ward, MCTC Interim President to the attendees. “But, many of you work with our students every day. That’s why it’s important that the college takes this opportunity to recognize you and remind you how important you are to our student’s success,” Ward added.
Additionally, the group had the opportunity to decorate stones with inspirational messages to be placed around each MCTC campus to help welcome students when they return to MCTC campuses in the fall.
Each year, the event coordinators also use the day to organize a community service project. This year, the group collected items to benefit the Women's Crisis Center in Maysville.
