  1. Review the Academic Calendar for specific dates.
  2. Please read your course syllabus for your instructors withdrawal policy.
  3. You must initiate the official withdrawal.
  4. Instructor permission is required after mid-term.
  5. You may obtain a drop/add form in the Records Office at any of our campus locations OR
  6. Select the link below to initiate the drop, however, after midterm, you must obtain a confirmation of withdrawal via your KCTCS Student E-mail account to complete the process.
  7. You must contact Financial Aid to ensure you will not be required to pay back any awarded money.

If you are requesting to withdraw from ALL classes at MCTC, you must complete a total withdrawal form to be officially withdrawn from the academic semester. You may complete and submit an on-line total withdrawal by going to link below or complete a total withdrawal paper form with an admission and financial aid counselor. The total withdrawal paper form does not require faculty signatures but an admission and financial aid counselor must sign before the records office personnel will process. Failure to officially withdraw from MCTC can result in academic and financial difficulties for students.

  • You must complete a drop request and officially withdraw by the deadline date to be eligible for a refund.
  • You must complete the online drop request form to withdraw from a class. You must obtain a confirmation of withdrawal via their KCTCS Student E-mail account to complete this process.
  • Refunds and withdrawal dates for classes other than the regular 16-week classes will be determined by the amount of time the class has met. Contact the Registrar for questions regarding these classes.
  • Refund dates are subject to change at the discretion of the KCTCS Board of Regents.
  • Refunds for sessions different from those listed below are prorated according to the session in proportion to the traditional 16-week session. A session is defined as an enrollment period within an academic term. An academic term (fall, spring, or summer) may have a number of sessions running concurrently (i.e., 16-, 8-, or 4-week).
