  • Junior or senior in high school
  • Meet COMPASS/ACT placement criteria per KCTCS Assessment and Placement Policy
    • English * ACT - 18 or *COMPASS - 74
    • Reading *ACT - 20 or *COMPASS - 85
    • Math *ACT - 22 or *COMPASS - 50 (College Algebra)
  • Complete the College Admissions Application and provide high school transcripts
  • Enroll in courses with Dual Credit Director
  • Attend enrollment orientation session with Director at your local high school
  • Utilize advisement session to understand courses and program to help navigate toward success
  • Grade earned will be recorded on college transcript
    • A, B, C, D, E, or W
    • College grade point average (GPA) and/or withdrawal grade affects financial aid, Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES), scholarships, and selective admission programs
    • Students must maintain 2.0 GPA for financial aid eligibility
  • Purchase textbook(s), if required for course - The MCTC Bookstore
  • Need to be motivated, organized, and dedicated
  • Tuition for coursework:
    • Courses taught on high school campus by high school faculty, $50 service charge
    • Online courses, 50% tuition, no service charge
