Sign Language with Tonya Northcutt. Learn Basic American Sign Language. It will give basic signs for communication with deaf or hard of hearing individuals. This is a great course for educators, child care professionals, or the community person wishing to learn new skills. Also this class would be very helpful for family and friends. Designed for the beginner, this class provides participants the opportunity to learn different techniques used by the professionals. This course will teach you how to decorate a cake using basic techniques including flower making, basket weave, and the use of colors and will show you some newer ideas for decorating cakes for any occasion. What types of pests are the worst in your gardens and how can we keep them at bay with alternative management practices? There are endless sprays and concoctions on the market that claim to offer remedies for insects and diseases. We will explore several organic options such as companion planting and plant sprays and discuss which ones work and how they are beneficial for specific types of plants. We will blend a few and spray these herbal concoctions on our own for practice! This program commemorates the powerful connection of the Negro Spiritual and the Underground Railroad through five dramatic movements. Carefully selected prose narratives from historical scholars, poems from specific time periods and spirituals that align with the text give audiences the opportunity to commemorate the fusion of narrative and song to describe the evil, ugliness, and authentic beauty of this significant time in our history.

This comprehensive 50-hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's PTCB exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings - working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, and billing and reimbursement. Course contact hours - 50 hours.

Need to control your dog? The goal of this course is to get your dog to come when called, to sit, to stay, to lie down and stay, and to heel properly. The dog must be at least six months old and vaccinations must be current. Please bring proof of vaccinations to the first class. Please do not bring your dog the first night of class. Instructor George Rodgerson has 30+ years of experience training working livestock dogs to herd sheep and cattle, and has competed in sheep and cattle dog trials at the highest level. Register early! Drought Tolerant Container Plants With Carrie Taylor. Combine mixed drought tolerant plants in a container you will refurbish. We will decorate the container or basket with mosses and grasses on the outside and plant a pleasurable visual mixture of plants that will compliment any porch or veranda during the summer with little care and minimal water throughout the season.
