Summer Scholarship Scramble

GED Graduation

Calendar July 10, 2015 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Maysville Campus - Fields Auditorium

The Mason County Adult Education Program will be hosting the GED Graduation ceremony on Friday, July 10th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Fields Auditorium at Maysville Community & Technical College. Rehearsal for the graduation will be at 4:00 p.m. in Fields Auditorium. There will be a reception following the ceremony and light refreshments will be available. Cosmetology Pre-Admission Conference

Are you interested in Cosmetology? We will be holding the LAST SCHEDULED pre-admission conference for the Cosmetology program on Tuesday, July 14th at 5:00pm at the Cosmetology Center. Aerospace Career Craze - Rowan Campus

Public Meet and Greet with MCTC President Dr. Stephen Vacik

image of Dr. Steve Vacik, MCTC PresidentJoin Dr. Stephen Vacik for a Meet and Greet gathering on Friday, July 24 at the College Café in downtown Maysville. Dr. Vacik joined Maysville Community and Technical College as President on January 1, 2015 and wants to get to know community members. This will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions, share stories and network.

The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public. The College Café is located in the historic Cox Building at 2 East Third Street in downtown Maysville. Refreshments will be served.

Project Malaria

Calendar August 15, 2015 Limestone Landing - Downtown Maysville
MCTC's Project Malaria aims to raise money for the treatment and prevention of this deadly disease. The Project Malaria 5K Run+Walk will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Limestone Landing in downtown Maysville, Kentucky. All funds raised will go to Kabingo and Bethlehem, Uganda through Comboni Missionaries. For more information please view the Project Malaria event page.


Calendar August 24, 2015 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM MYC

EMT-B class will be offered beginning August 24, 2014.  The class will meet on M, W, and Th from 5:30-9:30p.m. To be eligible for this class you must take a TABE test and score on the 10th grade level in Math and English and at the 11th grade level in Reading. (This test is free and can be scheduled with our Adult Ed department. You may reach them at 606-759-7141 Ext. 66261 to schedule your test). You must also be CPR certified before the first class. We will offer a CPR class the week of August 10th. Phone 606-759-7141, Ext 66120 if you need this class.  Deadline to register for CPR class is July 27, 2015.

Two weeks prior to the start date of class our office must have: a completed application, a copy of your driver's license, and a copy of your high school diploma or GED diploma. This is mandatory and we must have these copies.

Cost of class is $930.00 (based on current tuition rate).  EMT-B is now taught for "credit"; therefore financial aid will apply to those who qualify.
