Maysville Community and Technical College is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Project Malaria 5K Run + Walk on Saturday, August 13, 2016. The event will take place in conjunction with Oktoberfest to be held in downtown Maysville August 12-13.

Maysville, KY—On June 24th, MCTC Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) members, Sierra O’Cull, Erica Mastin, and chaperones, Mike and Tara Thornberry drove to Atlanta, Georgia for the 2016 PBL National Leadership Conference. PBL members compete at a regional level.

Cynthiana, KY—The Workforce Solutions department of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) is an invaluable training resource to employers across the region. “We work with companies to provide the training employees need for companies to remain competitive in today's global economy,” stated Lennie Kinney, Workforce Solutions CE/CS Coordinator. In addition, MCTC will assist in accessing resources to offset training expenses through the KCTCS-TRAINS program.

Morehead, KY- The Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce presented Maysville Community and Technical College, MMRC Regional Industrial Development Authority, the Rowan County Board of Education and Morehead State University with the Community Partners Award at their annual awards dinner Thursday evening.

Beginning in August (2016) the Montgomery Campus of Maysville Community and Technical College will be offering year one courses for the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining associate in applied science degree.

Morehead, KY- MCTC’s David Pollite and Brandin Perkins successfully completed the Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce Leadership program last week. Twelve selected participants, representing a large cross-section of the Rowan County community, attended full-day programs each month from September through May.

Maysville Community and Technical College and Meadowview Regional Medical Center recently partnered to offer the Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) program to Meadowview’s entire environmental services staff. This partnership is the first in the nation to jointly offer this program by a community college and a medical facility.

Mr. Russ Ward, Maysville Community and Technical College’s interim chief academic officer, has released the Dean's List and the President’s Honors List for full and part-time students for the spring 2016 semester. MCTC offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in nearly 30 programs of study with classes offered on the Maysville Campus, the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana, the Rowan Campus in Morehead and the Montgomery Campus in Mt. Sterling as well as online.
