Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) Workforce Solutions, in conjunction with local UK Cooperative Extension and Ohio State University, invites all families to a free evening of education and fun for all ages.  Farm and Family Night will be held Tuesday, March 10, from 6:00 – 8:45 p.m. on the Maysville Campus of MCTC with dinner starting at 5:00 pm.  Farm Credit Services of Mid-America is the title sponsor for the event.

Registration for summer and fall courses is underway and students will notice something different about the course schedule. The college is implementing a four-day course schedule for the fall semester, switching three-day-a-week courses to longer time periods two days a week, so students can choose Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday courses.

MCTC is holding three pre-admission conferences in March for students interested in enrolling in the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program at the Maysville Campus. MCTC will admit a new cohort of MLT students in August and space is limited to only 12 students.

Born and raised in the small town of Garrison, Teresa Witten is a self-proclaimed ‘down-home country girl’ that simply loves to cook. Witten has worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, and after she completed the Culinary Arts program at Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC), she added Head Chef at Echo Valley Winery to her resume.

Dr. Juston Pate, Maysville Community and Technical College’s chief academic officer, has released the Dean's List and the President’s Honors list for full and part-time students for the Fall 2014 semester.  MCTC offers classes on the Maysville Campus, Licking Valley Campus-Cynthiana, Rowan Campus-Morehead, Montgomery Campus-Mt. Sterling and the Donald W. Kiser Paris Extension as well as through distance learning and online classes.

Maysville Community and Technical College has taken a major step in constructing a new campus in Morehead with the acquisition of 41 acres at the John Will Stacy Menifee, Morgan, Rowan County (MMRC) Regional Business Park on KY 801.  A check presentation ceremony was held on Monday, January 12 at Eagle Trace Golf Course to commemorate this milestone.

The Buffalo Trace District Health Department has a new webpage, thanks to Maysville Community and Technical College student, Rob Jefferson. Jefferson is a student enrolled in the Computer and Information Technologies (CIT) program. The external project was an opportunity for Jefferson to earn experiential credit for the CIT155 Web Page Development class.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Michael B. McCall has announced the appointment of Stephen Vacik,Ed.D. as the next president of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC).

Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) received 60 recycling bins designed specifically for placement in high-traffic locations on all campuses and extensions as part of a national recycling bin grant made possible by Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and The Coca-Cola Foundation.
