Motorcycle Safety

Calendar August 7, 2015 - August 9, 2015 Maysville Community & Technical College, Rowan Campus Downtown Extension

Learn to maneuver and operate a motorcycle in a controlled, off-street environment. This course offers approximately five hours of classroom instruction and ten hours of riding exercises in a controlled environment. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a waiver for the skills test to obtain your motorcycle license, and you may qualify for discounted insurance rates.

Project Malaria

Calendar August 15, 2015 Limestone Landing - Downtown Maysville
MCTC's Project Malaria aims to raise money for the treatment and prevention of this deadly disease. The Project Malaria 5K Run+Walk will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Limestone Landing in downtown Maysville, Kentucky. All funds raised will go to Kabingo and Bethlehem, Uganda through Comboni Missionaries. For more information please view the Project Malaria event page.


Calendar August 24, 2015 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM MYC

EMT-B class will be offered beginning August 24, 2014.  The class will meet on M, W, and Th from 5:30-9:30p.m. To be eligible for this class you must take a TABE test and score on the 10th grade level in Math and English and at the 11th grade level in Reading. (This test is free and can be scheduled with our Adult Ed department. You may reach them at 606-759-7141 Ext. 66261 to schedule your test). You must also be CPR certified before the first class. We will offer a CPR class the week of August 10th. Phone 606-759-7141, Ext 66120 if you need this class.  Deadline to register for CPR class is July 27, 2015.

Two weeks prior to the start date of class our office must have: a completed application, a copy of your driver's license, and a copy of your high school diploma or GED diploma. This is mandatory and we must have these copies.

Cost of class is $930.00 (based on current tuition rate).  EMT-B is now taught for "credit"; therefore financial aid will apply to those who qualify.
