The Ready to Work and Work to Learn programs are funded by the Cabinet for Families and Children in partnership with KCTCS. Program services are offered to students at the Maysville Campus, the Rowan Campus, the Licking Valley Campus, the Paris Extension and the Montgomery Extension. The program coordinators work with the Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP) recipients to assure their success in college.
There are a variety of services available for qualifying low-income student parents including counseling, tutoring, advocacy and mentoring as well as referrals to community resources. The Ready to Work program can also assist student parents with job references, referrals, job readiness training, life skills and academic success seminars. Services are also available to Work and Learn students in Adult Education classes to help make their transition to college successful.
The program coordinators are available to assist the K-TAP student from the initial application to the graduation ceremony, and on the job at the end of a successful college career.
