Perhaps you know someone who is battling depression or having thoughts of suicide? Maybe you know someone who has addiction issues and substance abuse has taken over their lives. Do you know someone who is dealing with domestic violence, sexual abuse or just problems coping with day to day life? Maybe that someone is you. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Now through October 31st, Mason County Adult Education will be offering the GED Ready® practice test absolutely free. Anyone interested can walk-in and take the practice test, which will gauge how well they will do on the official GED test. No appointments are necessary and the test is 100% FREE!

A new scholarship at Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) has been developed to help employees of area companies go to college without any out of pocket tuition expenses. The Jump Start scholarship will pay for the first two classes (up to 6 credit hours) of any employee who is eligible for tuition reimbursement from their employer.  The scholarship was developed to encourage employees to start their college education and provides them with the necessary training to advance at their companies.
